Element’s Design for MOB Beauty wins the D&AD award for the best material

The New MOB beauty palette design manufactured by Element Beauty Group won a Wood Pencil award in the Packaging Design category for Materials (2021). 

MOB, created in 2021 by Victor Casale and Frank Toskan - former founders of MAC cosmetics, is on a mission to bring more sustainable solutions to the make-up segment with versatile yet eco-friendly beauty products. Especially clean formula and sustainable packaging.

Element created for MOB Beauty is a fully refillable palette made of 50% recycled materials. The palettes have different sizes that can receive 1 to up to 8 pans, allowing for reusability.  The secondary packaging, the outer shell protecting the palettes, is made of 100% post-consumer recycled corrugated carton all support.

“ Mob Beauty is reinventing how cosmetics are being produced and packaged. Each part of the packaging and usability process has been deconstructed and reimagined to create an end-to-end sustainable system. Created by the former founders of MAC Cosmetics – Frank Toskan and Victor Casale – the line is a collection of customisable and refillable color palettes made of at least 50% post-consumer recycled PET content, with a goal of 100%. For secondary packaging, compact clamshells made of bamboo and 100% post-consumer recycled corrugated cartons all support MOB’s ethos of “makeup for a better world.” explains D&AD
